The overflow outlet allows you to direct water away from the tank once it is full.

A 3" PVC overflow outlet is supplied with the Fatboy tank, complete with a rubber gasket to ensure a waterproof fit. The overflow can be installed in either end of the tank.

There are indicator rings on the overflow positions at either end of the tank.  To install the fitting supplied, cut around the smaller indicator ring using a jigsaw, or use a 3 1/2" hole-saw - there is a centre point marked to help position your drill if using a hole-saw.

Position the overflow with the elbow INSIDE the tank, with the opening facing UPWARD and the rubber gasket between the flange and the tank.  Screw the overflow into place using the screws provided.

Attach 3" plumbing pipe and direct excess water to the garden or to a storm water drain. Check your local municipality for regulations relating to storm water runoff on your property.

If you would prefer to use 4" fittings, use the larger indicator ring to position an outlet on the tank.

If your overflow is to be left open, ensure you cover it with mosquito proof mesh to stop infestation.
