Questions asked frequently > GENERAL TANK FAQs > Why aren't Waterwall tanks made of recycled plastic?
Waterwall tanks are made of food grade, UV stablized, high density polyethylene to ensure each tank will last for decades AND maintain a good water quality.
Recycled plastic doesn't maintain the same qualities as the original raw material, and gives varying results. This is not an issue if you are making some products, such as park benches or even small rain barrels, but it doesn't work for something the size and complex shape of the Waterwall tanks.
Rest assured however, at the end of its' long life the Waterwall tank can be recycled again and again!
